Save the Date Cards:
These are very useful if you are planning to hold your wedding during a holiday season or if you have guests travelling long distance. It allows your guests time to plan travel and accomodation or arrange their vacations around the proposed date. Save the Date cards can be sent out as soon as you have agreed on the date of your wedding.
The wording can be quite simple:

Day Invitation:
This is the most important wedding stationery item you will need to order. It is a good idea to match the style and colours of the invitation to match your wedding day theme. This sets the tone of the day and adds a touch of class to the occasion. The day invitation is traditionally sent by the Brides parents as hosts of the celebrations. ALICe Crafts are happy to help you with the invitation wording and advise you on etiquette if the hosts are other than the Brides parents.
The wording of the invitation should include:
The name(s) of the hosts
The full name(s) of the guest(s)
The date and time of the ceremony
The ceremony venue
The reception venue
Items that may be included in the invitation envelope:
A map of the ceremony and reception venues
A reply card and/or a stamped addressed envelope
Order of the day
Wedding gift list
any other useful information such as local accomodation
Evening reception only invitations:
These can be in the form of a flat card or a slightly smaller version of the day invitation with information regarding the time and place of the evening celebrations. Replies can be less formal by including a reply E-mail address or Tel No.
Order of Service:
The Order of Service is given to your guests as they arrive at the ceremony venue. It can take the form of a small booklet or a simple scroll tied with a ribbon matching your wedding colours.
Placed at the entrance to the reception. The table plan shows your guests where they will be seated and the position of the table in the room. The table plan can be made in the style of your invitations to continue the wedding theme. Tables can be named or numbered.
Place Cards:
Placed on the tables printed with the guests name as a continuation of your stationery theme.
Menu:
Printed and placed on each table alongside the table name or number.
Favours:
Placed on each place setting as a small gift for your guests.
Thank You Cards:
Made in the same style as your invitations. These can also be personalised with an insert or left blank for your own message.
